They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
    We will remember them.

it seems such an outrage that when a famous person dies they're in the media spotlight and the country mourns them, but when someone who truly deserves our respect and honour dies i'm sure most of the country won't mourn them. I hope that this time they do because he truly deserves our respect, as well as any other war hero who has lost thier lives.

Listened to his testimony in an audiobook of 'Forgotten Voices' in the car. Very interesting with some fascinating anecdotes.

Wow, that's incredible to think that someone born in 1896 was still alive! He had an extremely interesting life.

    Ah no he's dead?

RIP. I have the utmost respect for this man.

He jokingly attributed his longevity to "cigarettes, whisky and wild, wild women".

    HERO.

I bet there's not many people that can/could say they lived in three different centuries.
