Yeh minted chops and Rice is great. We recommend it all the time at the butchers. You could also have it with cous cous and salad.

To make the best of it, try cooking the lamb chops in some kind of really nice gravy/alcohol e.g. white wine.

E.g. white wine, onion gravy, onions and mint sauce

I wouldn't eat that ever even for a million pounds!
I don't eat lamb but whatever floats your boat, won't it be a bit dry though?

Need a sauce to go with it.

Am I the only person that thinks lamb chops have **** all meat for their money?

Yes absolutely fine. Cook the rice, add any veg/herbs/aromatics (such as cardomom) that you fancy. Plonk a nicely cooked lamb chop on top, maybe cooked with spices? And then drizzle a sauce over. With subtle lamb and rice flavours I'd go with sweet chilli sauce? Doesn't have to be much Or a curry, maybe a garlic and ginger sauce? God you could do anything really... I have lots of cooking ideas if you want to ask me anything

As a butcher I have to agree that out fo the 4 main meats, chicken, beef, pork and lamb, for quantity per pound lamb you normally get the least but often it tastes the nicest.

Lamb Chops are good but never fulfilling in my view. Id rather get cheapish lamb joint say shoulder on the bone or a leg and slow roast and then you get alot for your money as there is often lots of succlent tender meat off the bone. But I think your idea is mainly based on lamb chops which I agree with you on.

In the end this came out very well - used Basmarti rice, but not any of the other extra things suggested here (this time). Thanks for your comments
