Would it be possible to apply for a BA in History with Politics at Oxford, and apply for a BA in International Relations everywhere else - seeing as they could be considered similar courses - ?

    Thanks

Yes you can do that. You will have to put your personal statment together very carefully though (ie wording it so that it applies to both courses that you are applying for but at the same time reads as though you are only applying for one subject) especially with an Oxford application.

Yes. You simply need to tailor your personal statement accordingly.

Yes, you are allowed. Jacqui Smith, the former Home Secretary applied to do PPE and also French at Oxford. She was offered a place for both courses but decided to choose PPE in the end.

Do you have a reliable source for that? You generally (with some rare exceptions, I know) cannot apply to Oxford for two different undergraduate courses.

She said this in an interview for Teachers TV (I can download it if you wish). She applied to Oxford in 1980 though and graduated in 1984 so I'm sure things have changed since then.
