    Hi guys!

I have an offer for MSc Business Economics from City and i really appreciate if you could comment on the quality of education there. I like the structure of the course and the modules, which are taught there.

My other choice is MA Comparative Business Economics at School of Slavonic and Eastern European Studies at UCL. I know that this Uni is higher rated than City, but i donk quiet like the course itself bacause it's taught at SSEES and it's more specialised on economics of EE region.

    hope to hear your advices

    Hey Kotenok!

From my own experiences, I'd personally make the decision based on the course rather than which uni ranks highest. I spent two miserable years at another uni doing a course I hated just because I'd chosen the uni which ranked in the top 10 rather than the course I really wanted to do at another uni which was much further down the league tables.

    That's my opinion anyway...

    So then what happened?

I left suffering with depression, had a year out to recover and reapply... now I'm going to city to study air transport. If you're wondering if city was the lower ranking uni, it was actually portsmouth and I went to durham (and I was studying geology as opposed to geological hazards which I wanted to do at portsmouth).

    Thanks for your opinion.

In my case it's just a one year master degree (i've already had my BSc), so prestige of the Uni is quiet important for me. I can't say the course at UCL is that bad, the only thing that i don't like is that the modules there are specified on EE countries though they still teach you ecnomics basic modules.

UCL is recognised all over the world and it's in Top 5 Uni-s in UK.

The program at City is quiet intresting...but it's so difficult to give up UCL offer:confused:

So there are advantages and disadvantages on the both sides.

Wow your not the first person I know that hated their time at Durham, good for you to have the courage to leave I guess. But how many years did you waste?
