Use a comparison site to get a rough idea, you shouldn't need the reg and if you do look on eBay/Autotrader to find a reg of a similar car.

Do it yourself you lazy *******. It's not hard going onto confused.com or pricecomparison.co.uk then see whose the cheapest.

    Serious? The cheapest I've found so far for a corsa 1.0 / 1.1 / 1.2 is £2500 o.O

I've got a Corsa 1.2, fully comp with Direct Line was £1500. I found price comparison websites rubbish, try direct line and companies direct as they are often cheaper. I've been told adrian flux are good as well so try them.

Personally I wouldn't waste what could be between £1500 and £2000 just so you can drive a Corsa. For your first couple of years as a young male driver steer clear of cars that are clearly either boy racer cars or those that are popular amongst the young. Also, stick with a 1.0, or 1.1. You might not be able to drive very fast, but that's kind of the point as far as the insurance companies are concerned.

Insurance companies stick closely to the stereotypes about young male drivers. If you pick anything that is fast, collectible, or considered 'cool', then you will pay the price. Equally, the newer the vehicle then generally the higher the insurance. My first car was an old 205 pug xs and I had to get my Dad as the first driver to even be able to consider the insurance.
