simple question i'm sure. Are you a poverty creator or a wealth creator?

I'm a capitalist. A real liberal not like the crap namby pamby imitations we have today who mistook liberalism for populism. IMO socialists are outright idiots and almost always peasants.

I'm certainly not a capitalist, not at all, but I'm not sure I'm a socialist either, although I certainly swing that way!
I don't really like to label myself anyway. I just say I'm left wing and leave it at that.

& OP, I know many socialists who are not 'peasants' and who are very nice, well educated, non idiotic people

My view as an economics student, shared by the vast majority of fellow students i know, is that the overwhelming majority of socialists are totally economically uneducated and most people tend to become more capitalist the more they learn about economics. So, sorry but i honestly think that, although they might not be thick, the majority of socialists, when it comes to economics, are totally flawed

well this is exactly why I hate political labels - they give way to stereotypes like that!
I live in a very conservative area, and a LOT of the people I know (who are hardcore capitalists/conservatives) know **** all about money, economics and the like. I know very well this doesn't reflect on the majority of capitalists, but it's the experience I've had. So it works both ways  Different people can have very different experiences!

tbh the idea type of society would be a meritocracy with opportunities for people to rise up to the upper echelons of society through hard work and/or ability. Survival of the fittest in other words. The working class should have jobs but there shouldn't be the situation where the government are handing them stuff on a plate.

Socialists are wannabe capitalists but too poor so they settle for being socialists so they at least get more than they should. I'm not rich myself but thats how I see it. Personally I think since you get your education paid for and loans for university you have the opportunity and should work hard and earn what you get.
