Hi, for the last couple of years I've been suffering nausea and in the last couple of months it became unbareable so I went to my GP. To cut a long story short she prescribed me lansoprazole for a month because it would reduce the acid produced by my stomach. She wants my stomach to reduce its acid because I have some sort of scaring on the lining of my stomach which is causing imflammation that is causing the nausea.

I was wondering if anyone has been on this medication before or if anyone has suffered a condition like mine and if the medication worked and if it had any bad side-effects.

    Thanks

i had it for stomach pains that gp thought was a stomach ulcer. I had no side effects, i was on it for a few weeks, then switched to omeprazole, which is like lansoprazole, and that cleared the pain.

I was the other way around - I got given a week of omeprazole and now I'm on a month of lansoprazole, hopefully after that months I won't have to use anything else because I'm scared stiff of using drugs regurally after being on codiene and anti-imflammatories for two years for problems with my leg ... I'm also sick to death of the nausea.
