In the next 3-4 years im aiming to put on as much size as possible natural, and then cut and maintain.

Those pics specifically, the ripped version is still massive so doubt anyone would wanna be looking like a fat *******.

    1. He looks happier.
    2. He hasn't felt the need to shave his chest.
    3. He is probably stronger at that BW.
    4. He is not really that fat.

I want to be happy, strong, not shave my chest and not be terribly fat so yes I would rather be the first picture.

But he's not fat in the first. At least I don't think he's fat. He hasn't got a big gut, just no visible abs.

BTW, his lifts were in the 700lbs+ region at the 320lb BW.

In his other pics Gulledge looks perfectly happy.

    OK maybe not.

However, if I had his bench press then I'd be the strongest bencher in Britain. I'd be smiling more often if I was him.

BTW, I realise this sort of topic with these exact photos have been posted loads of times on other forums; just wanted to see what's happening here.

    Depends on goals.

Those training aesthetics would never choose A, because to the general public he would just be another fatty.

Its getting to B that earns attention, good or bad.

Pic A is a long shot of being fat in the eyes of the general public.

I agree; his body just says to me, "That's a big strong dude." But he does have a pretty fat face. That might be just genetics, because lots of guys his size don't have football shaped heads.

We can only dream of finding a sock-pants combo like that.

Im a tad skeptical about the desire on forums to be a powerbear. Sure it earns man points online but in reality, day to day life?

That said Im a vain **** so biggish and cut will do me.

Nope I honestly don't think the slim waist required to be "aesthetic" looks good. I'm not saying I want to get fat but abs get old when you've had them most of your life. Maybe it's different for a competitor though because I really don't lift for day to day life.
