    I hate it when American TV shows depict the British as either top-hat wearing, carriage-riding, obsessive tea drinkers, or cockney, adolescent chimney sweeps.

    Johnny Depp's accent in Sweeney Todd is really good, and Gwyneth Paltrow does the accent justice in a lot of films...but god, this has got to be the worst portrayal of a British accent by anyone - Josh Hartnett's 'Yorkshire' accent:

    Edit - I love how she tries to educate American's on the British Dialect but says 'I've been to the grocery market/store', no British person says store or grocery market, it's a shop. Silly woman.

    "British Dialect"? ERM... why did she miss out the word dialect on Standard American, and emphasise it after "British"?

    And it's quite clearly a (not brilliant) attempt at an RP accent, not British (doesn't exist) nor "English".
