I have recently been informed that I have been shortlisted for interview for a CPE award from Gray's Inn. The interview takes place next Monday and I am slightly nervous as to what to expect as this will be the first interview I have ever had, and so am not really sure how to best prepare .
Mainly I am wondering to what extent I should be expecting "legal" questions. Is is fair to assume that these would only be questions on legal issues that have been in the papers recently, and specifically centred upon the areas of law I stated I was interested in on my application form (eg. stuff on the recent changes to the status of pre-nups)? Or would I be required to have a broader understanding of many areas of law (ie. what law would you most like to change)?
For those who have experienced a CPE interview at Gray's: is the interview mainly based upon your form or CV, or is it more ethical / current affairs questions?
