Was over on the GS forums and found this the first PSP go review by gadget show, and the consensus about the uk price of £230 for a PSP seems absurd and ridiculous.

    PSP GO

Is anyone here considering buying one?

I've been wanting a PSP for awhile and Direct Download only is very appealing but the price tag is simply ridiculous, it costs much less to make and somehow they think they can charge 50% or so extra in comparison to the normal PSP. Balderdash.

If it were £129.99 i'd buy it no quibbles, £100 more is sheer ludicrous.

Hell no. It's not really any better than the old PSP.

Also means there are no preowned games, so you can only pay full price/what Sony set. And if the PSN is anything to go by, the games are going to be expensive.

i was thinking of getting it from USA, where it will be $249/£150. I have been thinking of getting a PSP anyway, so I thought I might as well get this one.

I don't know much about this, but will there be different UK and USA versions?

I thought Sony learnt from the Playstation 3 when it launched at £425 but i think this is worse because the fact is its more than an xbox 360 means this will tank when it comes out.

It doesn't appeal to me, I don't like the idea of not physically owning the games. I've found that the PSP software on the computer is also too much hassle.

You don't even need a PSP Go to get direct downloads. The downloadable games will be available on all PSPs. I really see no reason for me to get a Go. My 2000 can do everything I'd actually use a Go for (I don't care about the camera) and more because it can play games on UMD.

    I wouldn't even buy it for £100.

This is even less of a PSP compared to the last batch of PSP's.
