The person who bought it was an adult at the time of purchase. She was an adult in the country where she bought it, in this case England. So if she was an adult when she bought it then how can they take it off of her? It shouldn't matter that in America an adult is 21 because she isn't from America.
The US is one of the most nationalistic countries in the world. "Their country, their rules" most definitely applies!

Marriage and Family matters are treated seperately to everything else. Marriage is determined by the law in which it occured. Pretty much everything else is determined by the law of the place in which you are.

Op, the over 21 rule in America is taken very seriously. Its not a good idea to try and get around it by using duty free!

Okay, thanks for informing me. I'm only 16 so it doesn't really affect me.

They would take it if they found it, but it's unlikely that they'll find it.

Are you completely incapable of reading?

From the outset I told the OP that you cannot take alcohol into the USA at 18.

So prey tell, precisely what am I supposed to have made up?

I suggest you take a scan back over the thread, because as it stands at the moment, your above comment makes no sense, a result of which is that you now look idiotic.
Erm, yes. :o: Or more importantly incapable of remembering names. See PM.
