I don't think I could ever write an 'open upon death'. I still can't believe how positive he came across in the letter; knowing that he'll be dead when it's read.

Very sad, I cried. As a mother I can imagine how Cyrus"s mother must be feeling. Poor kid was only 19 and died fighting for us all. RIP.

My friends open upon death letter made me cry for so long. I'll never forget what he finished the letter with:

"Our men are dying, dying. For what? For dirt. That's all this war is for. Dirt."

Some of the phrases he uses are pretty weird to write in a letter to your mother. e.g. "it does get ******* hot, I can't work out wether I'm tanned or just burnt to ****" or maybe I just live a very sheltered existence but I don't think so.
