I wouldn't care. People can use all the free stuff they can get right now, especially students :p:

If she's that petty as to care, she's not worth bothering about anyway.

Oooor, get someone to text for you - film to 241 - and get them to forward the text to you, of course Or get them to do the code, write it down, and take it with you. You'll need to write it on the voucher, anyway

I honestly wouldn't care if a guy used a voucher to pay for our meal :s It's saving him some money, so why not? The girl doesn't have to foot the bill, so why should she put him down for being frugal? If you're worried, you could always go up to the counter alone and pay with the voucher, so she wouldn't see it.

It wouldn't bother me if my boyfriend had used a voucher the first time we went out. It makes sense to save some pennies if possible!

I'd think he was a bit of a knob for not using it tbh, although I wouldn't be comfortable with him paying anyway

The girl will judge you if you use the voucher.

Depends what kind of girl she is, she might think you're a bit cheap and only took her there because you had a voucher.

to be honest, don't pay for her meal
    why?
first date, has she bought you anything? No
How can she say you're broke when she isn't even paying?
Make her pay, its not like you start buying normal firends stuff the first time you meet them.
Make her pay and she'll treat your right...
