On my way back into the country I bought a bottle of this:

    Anyone tried it before?
I know it's a long shot but it's worth asking.

Apart from normal Jack Daniels I have had "Jack Daniels Single Barrel" before, and that is good stuff.

There are two others I have seen around but not yet tried. One is:

"Jack Daniels single barrel silver select" and I can't remember the other.
Anyway that's all I wanted to say.

    .......carry on......
    ......as you were....
    ......at ease......

I have tried it, and it was ok, just ok.
That said I am not a fan of Bourbon/ Tennessee whisky.
single malt scotch, now that is more like it.

The normal stuff is good, and if you like the taste enough then certainly venture on and try the other ones, like single barrel and gentlemen's jack.

Its got a great taste to it.

    Yer.
How did you drink it? Straight? Straight with ice?
I am having it straight with ice and your right, it's quite nice.

    Not bad for 30 Euro's.

    Interesting.

I am of the opposite. I am mostly a bourbon fan. When I drink the normal stuff I like Bullit Bourbon and Jim Beam.

    Good stuff.

Ah, well when when you are old enough and you can afford to buy some (because it's not always cheap) then do so.

Uni is normally the time when you drink copious amounts of cheap stuff because the cheap stuff is all you can afford.

I had it straight, and yer it's got a really good taste. Definitely different from normal JD, couldn't quite put my finger on what was different though.

I didn't drink it much until I was 19 or so. Up till then I drank beer mostly, but one of my mates gradually got me into spirits. Mostly rum and whiskey (mostly bourbon which is probably why I like it so much) and since it was mostly down the pub and at parties I drank a lot and therefore got accustomed quickly.

It varies from person to person.
