Surely you can still go even if there's a bit of rain? The programme looks really good tonight, well imo anyway
Yeah I'm just going to go now anyways :p:

Hopefully it won't rain, or if it does nothing heavy.

It was brilliant! The Sarasate, Debussey and Ravel were fantastic, and the violinist was amazing.

Even the Takemitsu weird stuff wasn't too bad...served as a good starter for each part of the program.

Bit weird having 2 intervals though!

That is weird, them having two intervals! They should have donated one to my Purcell Prom on Tuesday! God knows that needed two intervals!

Glad you had a great time though!

Well, the orchestra was French...so, you know, they probably would've gone on strike if they'd had to work for more than an hour....:awesome:

:yep: It's still on Iplayer (both TV and radio, broadcast Sat 1 Aug on BBC2 and BBC R3). It's pretty amazing; anyone who's watched Family Guy will sense his love for musicals and big band, but it's just that he sings really spectacularly as well.

    There's even a thread about it: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=984417.

Did anyone watch the televised concert of Berlioz/Mendelssohn? The guy who they interviewed in the middle is my tutor

Although I have a more-than-platonic love for Stephen Hough and his blog, Tchaik 1st piano concerto puts me right off!
