only my opinion, but theres enough real porn for those interested to watch, surely advertsing agencies aren't so short of ideas that they ahve to rely on simulating it to appeal to the consumer?

Good Lord. I really wish I hadn't been drinking a can of the stuff as the ad reached its, for want of a better word, climax.

Yup. I thought it was a terrible advert myself. But at the end of the day, companies don't want complex, thoughtful adverts. They want something that will stick in people's memory. Something that will cause discussion and people to formulate their opinions about the ad, tell others about it, etc. Its 3 hours on and i can still remember the advert clearly, even though i watched it on mute and in a windowed screen (saw the nsfw thing lol!). Its achieved its goal and it did it very well. They dont need imagination. Intelligence? Well it seems they have a lot of that.

I agree it was memorable, but that doesn't always sell the product..I often like ads but don't remember what they are selling...

I still don't think it takes intelligence to aim a porno style ad at a teen/twenties market.

    To make it clear:

The ad has not been authorized by Sprite. The ad is a joke. The ad doesn't come from Germany. The ad wasn't supposed to be aired.

"Over the course of the last 24 hours, Greencard Pictures has been associated with a "fake advertisement" for Sprite directed by one of our friends and collaborators Max Isaacson. The commercial is a joke written, directed and produced by Max Isaacson. Greencard Pictures is not associated, nor do we endorse these fake advertisements."

As an advertisement, it works brilliantly. And sex sells to anyone, regardless of intelligence (although perhaps more to one gender than the other).
