I'm kinda confused as I've never been on benefits before!

    My situation:

26yo, always worked, had a good job but i've now left to go to Uni.

I left my job for two reasons, one as it was a 100 mile round trip each day without being allowed to claim expenses, and the other reason is my gf is due to have our baby in eight weeks so i wish to spend a little time with her before i go to Uni.

Will i be allowed to claim any sort of benefit at the moment?

    Thanks!

As said above but have you really looked into all the ones your gf can claim?

You might not even get JSA as you left your job voluntarily, so they will give you a sanction (for anything up to 3 months) where you get nothing.
