Ok, this is going to sound really silly but here goes...

I want to get some stockings with a suspender belt (got that bit), but I don't have the thinnest legs and I'm really worried about a 'muffin top' style bulge at the top of the stocking. I get this with hold ups because of all the strong elastic, but do stockings have sufficiently less eleastic to stop the bulges? That can't be a sexy look!

First get some cheap ones to see, then if they look fine splash out a bit, I don't get thigh overhangs with hold ups and I have quite big thighs I think, maybe you were buying them too small.

    Hi there.

I wear stockings and suspenders pretty muck everyday (except when I have to wear horrible nylon trousers for placement :-( ) as I find them comfier and more hygienic than tights, so much so that I don't own any tights now.

A lot of stockings are quite elasticsted but I would say less so than the specific elasticated welt on a hold up, although I confess that I've only worn hold ups a few times.

My day to day stockings tend to be from M&S but I would recommend some from Aristoc as they have a softer welt with less elastic.

You could also buy proper nylon stockings that have no or very little elastic but I tend to only wear these when I want to feel glammed up.

A good suspender belt is really important as well. Can I ask where you got yours from?

    X
