i have decided to go on this moon "diet" starting tomorrow morning? has anyone been on it? does it have a yo-yo effect?(i know it's only a detox diet, not a fat-loss one)
Why call it "the moon diet" and not the "not eating anything for 24 hours diet"? Why does this even have a name? Just...why? Someone somewhere needed a way to make quick money once and so made up a whole load of mock-scientific explnations to sell this, and now people are actually doing it! Despite knowing that it won't work! It's just madness!
Your system doesn't need a chance to clean itself out though. Where's this mystery energy coming from? Your energy stores. It's not good for you and even worse to be exercising while doing it.
I never said it was "mystery" energy; obviously it comes from my energy stores. If we weren't designed to tap into those energy stores from time to time why have them at all? Elaborate. Why is it so bad to occasionally do this?
I've never been so offended by one of these ridiculous 'diet' threads that I've had to neg the OP before. Well done.
We all know what happens to water weight that you lose by not eating don't we children? That's right! It comes right back when you eat again.
I've been discussing the possibility of creating the revolutionary "Eat sensible portion sizes and don't snack on unhealthy items whilst exercising regularly" diet. Of course, to follow the principles of such a diet before it's given a title would be absurd. Maybe if I called it the "Saturn diet" it would be really popular.
BBC never lies??? Disagree... But anyway ...the article talks about detox products sold in boots, etc....And they are just commercial product .... The detox mentioned in the moon diet talks about the fasting effect on the body..which accelerate the elimination of the waste produced daily by our body daily . Fastin will give our digestive system ( constantly breaking down excessive amount of food and sugar) a nice break, and the blood will be free to travel around the body bringing nourishment and flashing away toxin quicker.
once i drank juice for a week straight cause i wasnt that into food and ended up losing a lot of weight. when i tried eating after the one week, i threw up, but that was only the first time, and things went back to normal after that lol.

The rest of this discussion took place in 2009. It is very unlikely any of them are still here to read what you've written. =/
