Is it not a bit early for that?
We're writing our essays after we have done quite a bit of the practical work.

Sorry, I don't know how long either but 1500 - 2000 rings a bell. Have you looked on http://www.sqa.org.uk ?

I done AH last year and the essay is between 1,500 and 2,000 words. Don't worry about it, you seem to have influencial artists sorted already which is great for this stage but you need to link it into your practical work which wont be finished until later on in the year i expect - don't rush it. :p:

Who are your artists and whats your folio topic on?

Bloody hell, how are you meant to do a 2000 word essay on Art...

sounds soul-destroying.

I guess you could just use 2 pictures with the saying "A picture says a 1000 words" = win

Really easily :p: It was actually fun/interesting to do! Pick a couple of artists which link to your work, write a bibliography on them, choose a few pictures you like and discuss visual elements - it's all about personal opinion and linking it with your own work. By the end your trying to cut back on words

Does anyone have an example of their essay? I just have no clue on how to start it.
