    Deadline was back in January.
    You can apply for 2010 entry though. Register with UCAS.

    but when you go to the Ucas website you see the link which says APPLY FOR 2009. =/=/

    Well the fact is you can't apply for 2009 entry. You have missed the deadline.
    It's way too late- the term starts in September/October!

    You can apply for 2010 entry and that's your best option if you want to go to university.

    This is wrong on both counts. Applications for 2010 entry won't be allowed until 1 September. You can still apply for 2009 entry but your application will be held over until clearing.

    Ahh right.
    I thought you couldn't go through clearing unless you had applied to some universities before the January deadline. The OP seems like he still has to register with UCAS.

    You can ask unis directly if their deadlines have passed(and in most cases they will have). If you are lucky and the unis you want to apply for are still willing to take your application, you will be able to apply.

    this will be hard though, what with the massive increase in aplications this year.
    and in terms of clearing, only a third as many places this year.... basically yor "friend" OP would be better wating till next year.
