Books on the Cold War and Terrorism?

So for A2 History, I'll be studying the Cold War and Terrorism.

I've never really delved into either territory so I'd be grateful if anyone has books/textbooks that are about the Cold War that I could read before term starts..?

If anyone recommends anything on Terrorism that would be much appreciated too, but I understand if there isn't any as it's a new syllabus.

Thanks!

Take some geopolitic textbook.
Try to find some old Soviet books where they discuss the Cold War reasons.

^ Thanks. I honestly thought this thread disappeared.
"The spy who came in from the cold" - thats about the cold war, obviously you could read about specific moments in the cold war like the Berlin Wall

The film "Goodbye Lenin" is also very good

Enjoy

I would recommend 'The Cold War' by Martin Walker. You could also read 'The Cold War: A New History' by John Lewis Gaddis, which is very accessible. Both books are very readable and enjoyable.
