I've just finished my IGCSEs and am going to start my first year of IB when school re-opens this year. I've been put in this SAT summer course by my parents and I'd actually prefer to do the SAT before I start IB. But my friend told my that the scores are only valid for a year so if I end up doing the test once, I wouldn't be able to send my score. So for how long are the results valid? Could I take them now and send unis my results in two years?

If we're talking about American SAT score I believe they are good for close to 4 years.

Yes you can. Just like you, I took the SAT before IB started (ended up getting a bad score so I had to repeat :P) but the score was still valid when uni apps came along.
