Is there any way of doubling dresses for summer and winter? I have a couple of pretty cotton ones which, depending on colouring, could be matched with tights/pumps and varying thicknesses of cardigan as summer turns to autumn. Would that look odd or is it doable?

I do it, but it does kinda depend on the style and colour.

Agree with the cardies But wouldn't your legs be freezing? I know you could wear tights, but the problem with tights is that summer dresses seem to generally be quite pale colours, and tights are quite dark. So I have a white dress, which would look odd with black tights, but nude tights wouldn't keep me as warm because they're thinner. Ideally, I'd love my dresses to double up for winter though!

Yep, I had some flowery tea dresses last summer and wore them all the way through winter! Some nice thick wool tights and a cardigan is all you need.

I put long-sleeved T-shirts under some of my more summery dresses in winter and team them with cardigans and tights in varying colours.
