    hey!!

I'm loving this blazer from dp http://www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp...t_category_rn=

but it's abit on the pricey side for my budget atm, anyone know where I can get one similar but cheaper, and I don't reallly mind the colour.

    Maybe shouldn't have washed it?

Oh no it does claim to be machine washable. I hate when that sort of thing happens.

Yeah but sometimes jackets are dry-clean only - you might have missed it. But then I checked and it was machine-washable, making Dorothy Perkins crap.

I think she meant maybe shouldn't have machine washed it, rather got it dry cleaned or hand washed it.

I loved it so much, I even checked usually leave mother to sort such things out. I want the grey one now, just be a bit more careful with it...

To be honest, even if my blazer said machine washable, I still wouldn't risk it. Anything tailored, I dry clean.

I bought an actual mens' one from Topman. A tiny bit big on the shoulders, but it was way cheaper than the female ones (£18 in the sale) and it looks so much better. Pretty much everywhere on the high street has some sort of suit-jacket/blazer style. New Look would be a good bet as they're so inexpensive.

As you should really. However I must confess to having a couple of suits that I machine wash; and one is dry clean only.

OP - could you contact DP expressing your disappointment with how your blazer didn't cope with washing and see if they offer you a replacement?
