I went to the gym at 8pm tonight, and half way through being on the cross trainer on my left hand my middle and 4th finger started feeling uncomfortable, heavy, tingy and rather numb. I kept trying to shake it off and ignore it but its been an hour now, and im relaxed and its still uncomfortable. I can move them fine, its just annoying and a tad bit worrying!

Any ideas, im thinking something nerve related?

You should really go to the doctor for this kind of thing. It's not like anyone can help you here...could be one of a number of things.

oh im certainly not going to the doctors over this, its just a bit of uncomfort thats come on, and im sure by tomorrow it'll be gone. If it is tomorrow i'll ask a lecturer or something to have a look at it, but its not serious enough for the doctors i think

Sounds like you trapped a nerve or something. I think I've had it before.

Could really be anything. Doesn't sound serious. If the pain was unbearable it could well be a heart realted but as you dont find a problem and you are able to type its probably just from tensing for too long or something minor.

Those cross trainer things seem to cause problems in people all the time.

Of coure it may not be the actual cross trainer that did it.

Give it a few weeks and see if it is still playing up then go to the docs. if need be
