Does anyone know when exactly they come out? And if they have already does anyone have a direct link to them...I can't seem to find them on the Times website!

If anyone has seen the book...can u please put up the MAIN University league table (Just the top 15/20 will be fine thx!)

Also if possible could u please put up the top 10 for General Engineering...lol I'm just curious to see it...and if warwick aint in the top 10 could u please say where Warwick is in the General Engineering tables?

*Note that I am a firm believer that one must not read too much into league tables...however I find them quite interesting to read and so am asking about em!

The full Times LTs will be on-line on Friday. The book is due to be published 6/6/05. Both these bits of info are on the Times-online education website, surely the first place to look.

They were 10 or something last year so I wouldn't expect much change.

its weird shiny cos warwick come like 8th or 9th...and from the unis above warwick --> southampton, imperial, nottingham and brunel don't offer general engineering courses! lol wtf is that about?

PQ knows more about the classification system than me but things like Mechatronics, Integrated or Systems and Electromechanical Engineering probably fall under General Engineering.

ahhhh i see...yes nottingham do offer an integrated course (mechanical, manufacturing, materials) so i suppose if the tables are compiled as you say they are then that would justify the presence of most of the unis i named (if not all of them)!

another wierd thing is that warwick doesnt appear in the individual discipline engineering tables (e.g. electrical, civil, mechanical etc) even though that is essentially what their general engineering course goes on to become (the degree title one gets at the end is that of their specialism, e.g. MEng in Civil Engineering) while the rest of the uni's above warwick do! kinda weird...but ah who cares...lol...

Warwick came 8th in General Engineering

It seems fairly consitant not much variation from last years. There also seems to be some logic in the tables. Much better than the Guardians I think.

Heh, that's because the Guardians always looks like a five year old put it together..."Hey mummy this is a pretty name, I'll put it at number X!"
W'hoooo, Nottingham's up two places and now right behind dastardly Durham!
Edinburgh up from 13 to 5.

Cool.
ugh...i made such a bad choice!!!

Does anyone know if they've got the full subject tables yet? i.e. not just the top 20.

Is there not going to be a guide free with the paper this year? Or have I just missed it?

You missed it. It came out in the T2 in May over the period of one week. However it is on their website so you should be able to read it there if you wish.

There will aso be the Sunday Times supplement in September

Ah, ok, thanks. I guess I'll look on around on the net and wait 'til September then!

I'm quite happy Edinburgh's up to #5. I was thinking of applying there.
