UK Muscle have got a pretty active classifieds section, even though they're mostly bodybuilders. I've seen a few Oly bars and plates and the odd squat rack. Though there are more 'want' ads for bars/plates than there are 'for sale'.

I'm not seriously looking right now. But I did see this site that has a power cage for £175 which doesn't seem too bad. http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/...power-rack.php

At the moment, uni gyms free and will be for the next 5 years (med school) and I'm only stuck at home during holidays for 2-3 months out of the year and that's only for the first 2 years; after that the holidays for med school are drastically shorter. It would take years and years to be financially worth it. Plus all our hospitals have gyms; I may never have to pay.

    Where and were they Olympic?
Got them off Ebay and yes they were Olympic. Plates/EZ Curl Bar/Springlock things and squat stands for £120.

I doubt it, oly sets are usually more specialized and only gotten by those who are serious about training so not quite as commonly sold on
Wrooong :P. Nah I agree olympic stuff is more difficult to come by because (like me) most buy a cheapish argos set to start with then work their way up.

Danger with ebay is people get excited and bid over what the value of stuff is. My advice would be to message sellers and see if there's a price they'll take, then get em to take the stuff off ebay and do a private sell. That's what I did.
