I have just finished my second year, and going into my final year. But I'm considering doing a masters degree after I finish my final year. How would I go about doing it? When do I have to apply by? Some of my friends have been telling me, that I have to pay for it and I can't use a student loan for a masters, is that true? any help would be appreciated.

There is no student loan but you can either find a funded Masters or get a career development loan, which is what I'm doing, from a bank.

You'll have to find out when the deadline is, but you'll need to do it by quite early next year in all likelihood.
