Basiclly from what Ive calculated I got 52.5% in my second year of uni which is 33% of the overall grade, meaning that final year is worth 67%. Whats the realistic chance of me achieving at 2:1 (60%) in the 3rd year, and what would my 3rd year average need to be ?(given the relevant weightings).

I think if its not possible I may have to re-do second year

Yep. You can get a 2.1 as long as you do reasonably well across the board. Retaking your second year would not be a good idea, anyway, for a number of reasons:

    - Your second year is good enough that a 2.1 is a perfectly reasonable objective
    - I don't think you actually CAN just retake a year and improve your mark. I thought retakes allowed for a maximum of a pass...
    - Employers aren't going to regard a 2.1 that involved retaking a year as any better than a 2.2
    - You probably won't get finance and even if you do it's a huge amount of extra debt to retake a year you may not do any better at anyway.

IF you retake the year its a clean slate when it comes to marks BUT it will say on your transcript that you passed after a repeat....kinda in the same boat....or fleeeet atleast.....i dont think employers look at your transcript.....

Hmmmmm ok I thought I would have to get like 70% in my 3rd year to get a 2:1. But lets 63.7% is definately attainable. First term I was doing well geting 2:1s, it all went wrong in the second and third terms! Guess im just going to have work my ass off! Does anyone know if third year is considerably harder than second year?
