Hi guys

I'm going to Warwick this September and I'd like to open a UK bank account. Reasons are various but I guess my needs are the same as yours:

- Pay for university

- Hold my money there (instead of a college accommodation) and use an ATM to take some money from time to time

- Good online platform

- I wouldn't mind to have an online trading platform so I can invest on USA market

- low fees

Any advise?

Natwest if they're still doing the free 5 year railcard. Totally essential.

Natwest - online banking is excellent, student railcard is indeed essential for most, ATM access is great (they have a ton of cash machines), a decent available overdraft and low-limit credit card and the fees are about as reasonable as anywhere else.

There's a Natwest branch on campus and two others that I can't remember.
Hopefully the union building work won't obstruct them too much.
