At Next(clothing store) how do they choose who stays on and gets to be permanent? Watch

    • Thread Starter

I worked there during the sales, and I believe I was the hardest worker and kept my area the cleanest and listen to all around me. The managers said they will be watching us, and they will decide. How do they decide, because i really want to stay on, I even asked her and she was like i'll call you if we got anything, but thing is i think she was just saying that so i leave her alone.
and also I hvent pissed them off or anything, ive been very good, been the most hardworking and ive tried to get involved with the management and been friendly i have asked them if i can stay on, but all they can say is "whats your name?" i tell them my name, then there like"i'll give you a call", which is a total lie, ive asked 3 different people from management and all of them say the exact same thing!

they probably just chose people they like the best / have been best to work with - stop bugging them about it.

Im doing the same thing where I work. About 85% of the staff are part time/casual. Recently two full time jobs came up. Well they haven't fully come up yet as they have not been advertised, but everyone knows that they are going.

I am going for full time so will go for one of them (one has 40 hours a week the other 18). I'll go for the 40 hour one. I've made myself known at work (which is easy because you work with everyone and are first term names aswell - even with the manager -is that normal?)

But i've worked my butt off since I started there which was 16 months ago now because I always had the intention of going full time. And it hasn't gone un-noticed. Everyone upto the Contract Manager has told me what a good job im doing, and he is incharge of 12 other sites.
So work your butt off, keep your head down, and stop bugging people about it.
