Hi i need to know whether you still apply for a adult renewal if you already have a british passport as a child but now you're over 16 years of age and you're child passport has expired ages ago.

I think its just a standard renewal, as opposed to having to go through an interview or whatever. As you've already held a child passport you should be able to renew it as normal.

    That might help

You apply for a 'first adult passport', so you have to go through the entire form, including the tedious identity sections. However, you shouldn't need the interview. Make sure you mention the old passport's number in the form, and send it with the application.

Yeah but i spoke to the passport advice line and she told me that it would be a renewal to an adult passport, but i forgot to ask her it it would matter if you're child passport has expired.
