# Maths - Modulus Function watch

1. I know its the summer and the last thing anyone wants to think about is maths, but I was away for the last few weeks of term and really need to catch up on what I missed.

In the modulus function, do you treat y= 2|x+1| as y= 2(x+1) and then take the absolute values?

Thanks
