Problems with Student Finance Helpline watch

    I'm trying to cancel my Student Finance application for this year so that I can take a gap year before heading to Uni. After not being able to email them anymore I've had to call their helpline (which is an 0845 number) about three times because it keeps saying that my Customer Ref number and PIN (day and month of birth) don't match, when they do after checking myself each time. I can't even get through to an advisor or anything to help me with this problem.

    Can anyone help please?

    Indeed, I had this problem, and ended up giving up. I hate that bloody company. You might want to write to them instead? It's probably going to end up being more efficient...

    You have to wait until they've finished talking each time otherwise they don't register a number, don't cut them off when they say "your pin number is your the day and month of your birthday." Took me 6 times and it was only when I waited right to the end that it worked.
