you can get a pill which uses the same hormone as the implant, is that not an option? I can't take pills at all and I would be too worried about an injection, not to mention finding an excuse to give to my parents while I go to the clinic every 12 weeks, so an implant is my only option. Right now I really wish I didn't have it. Although actually my period is just a part of life now, I can't remember not having it anymore!
the implant isn't that bad, really when you get it put in the only bit which stings for a bit is the anashetic (sp)
