I think it's great if it's tested on fat burger eating wasters first.Totally agree with this policy. 'swine flu' is only being used by the Government to keep chinooks off the front page anyway.

I'll need about 5 vaccines if that's the case. :worm:

i completly disagree. obese people should not be given preferntial treatment over people who bother to look after themselves.

they should be allowed to die

i'm a fit, healthy, well-educated young male who has a good future just like many people my age. we are the people who are going to be running the country in years to come, but we are not all immune to this disease. the government should make sure that useful, hard-working people like us shouldn't be delayed in getting a potentially life-saving vaccine, rather than some useless, thick, obese binge drinkers who already drain the government through the benefits system.

if you agree with the newspaper article, please say why. we don't need these obese people anyway, as they already put a huge strain on the NHS.
I've suffered with weight problems over the last year or two - to the point where i'm now medically obese. I've had an eating disorder for nearly 2 years and I struggle with it everyday, I was close to becoming bulimic a few months back and i'm trying my hardest to keep that off.

Does this mean I deserve to die?

I'm an unhealthy, well-educated young male who has a good future just like many people my age. I'm extremely useful and hard-working people and resent the implication that because I have eating problems I am therefore, a useless, thick, binge drinker who drains the government through the benefits system.

I don't think people should be given the vaccine first just because they're obese, but if they're morbidly obese or have over underlying health problems then they should get it - everyone has a right to survive and those who are more likely to suffer greatly should be a top priority.

OP - you really need to grow up a lot, you describe yourself as well-educated yet have extremely ill-informed views and a level of immaturity I've never really encountered before.

    Thanks.

It's unbelievable that people believe that made up statistics by the Government. I refuse to believe 100,000 got infected last week - not even Mexico has 1/5 of that!
It's a very believable statistic. I know 5-6 people that have had it and the people I know represent a very small portion of the population. 100,000 is therefore more than believable.

It's ridiculous how can someone who has ruined there health by themselves be put on the top of people who live a healthy lifestyle. People should live the consequences of what they do to themselves as its only supporting obesity.

    Do you just not read?

Normal person gets jab- > doesn't get flu -> minimal strain on NHS
Normal person doesn't have jab -> gets flu -> in bed for couple days and mildly ill for a few more -> goes back to work a few days later

Obese person has jab -> doesn't get flu -> minimal strain on NHS
Obese person doesn't have jab -> gets flu -> needs special treatment -> pay for him to be sent to switzerland or some **** for specialist treatment

Which is better for the tax payer? I know which one I'm going for. I do think however that obese people should have to pay additional tax. They should not be denied any form of treatment though.
