    So I am going as Margaret Thatcher. My only problem is I can't find a wig anywhere on the net. I just wondered if any of you guys knew where to get a wig - Maggie Thatcher style - I am willing to pay up to £30. If worse comes to worse can you style a normal wig like that, how would you do it ?

    Here are a few pics for inspriation: -

    Cheers

    PS: I don't want to wear a mask, I want a wig

    How about something like this, but spray it with coloured hair spray to make it more gingery;

    Also, if you combed out the curls a bit, it would look more like the Maggy Thatcher style.

    Ohhh...It's bright purple...Hmm yeah, you probably couldn't spray that orange, I'm afraid. You could perhaps dye it brown with clothes dye in the washing machine? But it wouldn't quite be the right colour as it's purple.

    Thats what I thought

    Can you buy a normal wig and style it?

    Well with wigs for people with no hair, then yeah because it's general real human hair. But seeing as you're going to be buying a fancy dress wig, it will be made from nylon - so styling it would be a challenge because you couldn't use heat. Your best bet is probably buying a blonde wig that's pretty much the style you want, and then dye it in the washing machine using fabric dye.
