    Hi,

I will be starting 6th form in the September and am looking for a messenger bag that is fairly big.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Cheers

I use a Timbuk2 messenger bag- I had to buy it through ebay since it's made overseas, but there are some reputable powersellers out there.
I use it for everything- it carries two full leverarches as well as my laptop, stationary, paper, everything- you could probably fit more but obviously weight is a limiting factor.
You can sling it across your body so you don't put all that weight on one shoulder and it stays very well on my back, or just carry it as a shoulder bag.

Whatever make you choose, messenger bags ARE very good for this sort of thing and I would definitely recommend one.

I wouldn't recommend carrying a lever arch file into school.

Instead, I'd keep a lever arch file at home for each subject, then take a standard A4 folder into school and partition it into sections for each subject, then move work from the folder into the lever one you keep at home.
