    38k is higher than the median household income, quite a bit more.

    Well obviously, I am worse off because I am paying £7000 a year instead of £3200 a year!

    Mhmm... bump? I do not live in the UK, so I don't know how the situation is today. Nevertheless, what are the chances of this proposal to go through - raising the tuition fees drastically? £3000 per year is a whole lot imo, especially coming from a country where higher education is free. If this amount was to doubled, I'm not so sure I still would be coming to the UK to study.
