I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but I'll ask anyway...

Ok basically we have this ginger beer fermenting in a 2l bottle which we made from a kit and it builds up a LOT of pressure which we have to let out every day because the bottle expands significantly. When we leave it for a while and all the liquid settles and the bubbles stop moving around on the surface they always form into a pentagon shape, like 5 small separate patches of bubbles. This happens every time and if we shake it so they go away they just come back a few hours later. It's such a weird effect, I thought it might be something to do with the shape of the molecules in the ginger beer as it looks kinda like a molecular diagram of Pentose or something but this is probably wrong.

If anyone knows what causes this wacky effect I would love to know!

    Thanks
