Should the UK join the Euro? [please do the poll] Watch

    So if we were to not join the euro, what would the difference be, economically speaking, if we pegged the pound to the euro and transferred interest rate control to the ECB?

    Speaking purely as a fallback plan for nostalgia.

    no! and only for purely economic reasons.

    would joining the Euro lead to higher economic growth? Or more lower inflation or unemployment? i see no evidence it would.

    Politically we should have had the Euro since it began, however, I'm not quite sure that things are perfect economically for us to join, but it may be impossible for all of the 7 factors to ever be fulfilled, so we'd may as ell take the plunge and receive the long-term benefits.
