it looks like i have failed my physics AS level with a U, the reason for this is that i missed loads of college days and i felt bad knowing i missed days. long story.
now of course my results haven't come out.
problem is i wanna go uni next year and i only have two other AS's in Economics and Maths

I was wondering whether if i should re-take physics, then if my results are good enough, i should be entered for A2 as the final entry date is after the january results are out.
so basically i attend physics lessons, but i am not actually considered for entry until my resit results are out

    would that work?
    anyone with similar experiences?

Why did you only do 3 ASs? Most people do 4 just incase the above happens. But yeah, if you want to you could resit physics. Or do like a crash course in another A-level (ie. AS + A2 in a year).

I don't think they'd let you study the A2 components if you failed the AS part.
But hey, you're assuming you've failed. Maybe you haven't chin up!!

Self-teach? Then enter yourself as a private candidate.

Well the best thing to do would be to talk to one of the teachers.
Personally in my sixth form they didn't let you resit if you failed the component. Not sure how it is with you though.

IF they allow it (I don't know how your 6th Form/College works) then continue onto A2, but resit the AS modules (I'm assuming your grades are not going to be cashed in).

Urm, get in contact with a local college (or even your college) and ask them to enter you for the exams.

& yes for the AS in Jan, A2 in June. That would be the best way

Well that would mean you'd have to sit all 3 A2 exams in June next year as long as you passed all 3 AS units next year January? You'd have to attend lessons to cover unit 4 though which they didn't let happen at my college but don't know about yours.

My sixth form are letting me do AS and A2 in one year, but it took a LOT of talking and persauding. Haven't regretted it yet [I've already started the A2 course]. You could try asking your school, if you think you can persaude them.
