I am applying for 2 different courses this september medicine and biology. I'm not sure how to write a personal statement that incorparates both and whether I should include experience I have done in a veterinary practice in the statement (Though I know veterinary consultations are very different to GP consultations ) Any ideas?

Also does anyone know of any applicants that managed to get into medical school by saying they were going to do work experience after applying? (Not having done any before)

write your ps on medicine only, the biology uni will understand and request another ps if they want one.

i would include the vet work if you gained something from it that you can talk about at interview. if its just something to add to a list to make it sound like you've done loads then i would leave it.

dont know about the other question sorry, ask in the medicine forum in the work experience thread.

They won't request another P.S, they will just understand from the Medicine one.

OP it is fine applying for 4 medicine's and 1 biology just make sure your PS is purely to do with medicine because you won't have space to write about Biology.

    Good luck...

some unis will see that the applicant is applying for medicine and email them to request a biology/subject specific ps (not all places do though).
