How long does it take for people to find out how much they will receive?

At uni I didn't find out until...Nov I think? I didn't actually receive the letter until Dec when I went home at xmas, but before that I e-mailed the finance department of uni who instantly replied saying I was getting x amount in Feb and May (I think).

If you're at a college though, I've no idea if they have the same set up. You would be best e-mailing or ringing up.

I do not receive one of those, but it is certainly based on parental income. At my university, I think there are two payments in February and April. Perhaps this is intended to coincide with the payment of the tuition fee to the university or college. It is likely to vary from place to place, so contact your instuition's finance department if you are unsure, It is usually confirmed in writing, though.

    Good luck
