Yeh its seems Bournemouth aren't very clear on this sort of thing. Oh well i am just gonna arrive on the 20th and see what happens!

Well the black band is £20 and most of the events are around £3 with just the red band (which is free) so unless you go to most or all of the events listed it doesn't seem worth it... apart from the fact that the black banders' get priority entry lol

wrey, I'm going to reading too!
    who you looking forward to?

well, I guess I'm still unsure about the band, but there's quite a few events I want to go to, and worried that I could miss it.

for some of the events at the old fire station, that's not only freshers entry right?
cos, my friend who will be starting ports uni wants to come up to see one of the shows, will I be able to pick her up a ticket somewhere, or is it only banded?

Well mainly Kings Of Leon, I love them!! But also Kaiser Cheifs, Artic Monkeys, Radiohead and Bloc Party (though i saw them last year) etc and maybe Fall Out Boy :p: how bout you?

Maybe you should invest in a band then if you plan on going to a lot of the events, its only £20.

I have no idea about tickets for the old firestation, though. Although for some of the ticket prices they do have one under 'other' which i am guessing is those without any band. And im sure they wont know whose at Bmouth and whose not. I guess you will have to find out once you get there

Another question; on here http://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/accommo...procedures.htm it says that we need to infom the uni what day we are planning to arrive on, have people done this? I was not aware till i read that.

hmm i followed the link but i just got an error message. that's quite annoying i thought i'd done everything i needed to... but i guess one more call isn't going to kill me...

As for Reading i want to see "Faith No More", not really fussed about the headliners of the main stage tbh, but i'll still go and see them. I have heard (although it is probably a BS internet rumour) that there could be a headliner under Radiohead (a famous band like AC/DC or *lol* Led Zepplin or someone)... but I'm not holding my breath

Found the link for those who wanted to see the arrival dates and times:
    http://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/accommo...and_dates.html

If the link doesn't work, go to the uni website, get to the accommodation pages, click on new undergraduates and then arrival procedures then arrival times and dates on the side bar.

I'm still really excited about going!
