It would freak me out, because I'd feel like I'd have a lot of pressure on me if the guy has been practicing and watching videos all as a build up to this moment..

Well if you are a rapist then you clearly arent a virgin.
To be a rapist, you have to have raped someone. If you've raped someone, you arent a virgin.
Oh mother mary! spare a thought for the amateur rapists

If someone has the intention of bombing a place with intent to not come out alive then its called a suicide bomber, regardless of if he's set of fireworks previously, no?

By that logic, a rapist can be a virgin

... this reminds me of an FML i read:

Today, I decided to have sex for the first time with my boyfriend. It was his first time too. While in bed, he blankly stopped and stood up and got out a piece of paper from his pockets. Turns out, he had written instructions on what to do while in bed, and forgot what he had to do next. FML

The fact it evidently bothers you so much would put a girl off more than the fact you're a virgin.
Some girls LIKE to know you haven't been with anyone else... means you have no STIs and also that you have no one to compare HER with!

Other girls like a man with a bit more experience, but everyone has to begin somewhere. I was also 18 when I lost my virginity... It can be awkward the first time for some people, it wasn't for me luckily but for my friends they all had different issues... but just laugh it off and carry on. It's not a huge deal, no one can be amazing the first time, you learn with experience.

I'd tell the girl it's your first time. That way she knows you have no experience and she will probably be pleased you chose her for the first.

I wouldn't bring it up as a conversational topic.

Why would you tell her this. I mean how would that even go, you're getting intimate and you're like, "Well I may be a virgin but don't worry, I've done a considerable amount of research into the subject and am very much clued up on how it all works "

Just tell her you're a virgin and go with it, its a kind of instinctive thing and reading textbooks are unlikely to get you far.

I would tell the guy to forget everything he has read and be natural. I'm not a piece of ******* flat pack furniture!

Actually, I would be more put off than I first thought. Don't even say it afterwards as a joke - I'd be annoyed.
I'd like to think that when a guy's in bed with a women in the heat of the moment, he doesn't have the freedom of mind to recall what what he read in his 'how to have sex' book.

    Eurgh. *shudder*

Would you mind if a guy told you he'd done this before you had sex for the first time? Would you have a problem with it, or feel like it somehow undermines the exciting nature of doing it for the first time?
I think the responses have been a little too negative.

My boyfriend told me he'd looked up some tips (albeit this was a little while after our first time but we're both still inexperienced/ getting better) and it wasn't a bad thing at all.
It was cute that he cared about my pleasure, I was happy maybe he'd looked up something new for us to try, and it was a laugh teasing him about it.
If she's your girlfriend you should tell her these quirky little things, cos it'll make you both laugh and tbh she'll love you more no matter what you tell her.
Way before he told me I'd guessed he probably had cos I know him, and it's the kind of thing he'd do, cause he wants to be good y'know? If you don't stick to your "research" like some kind of automaton everything should be fine.

Why keep secrets when it comes to sex? With your partner, the person you are most intimate with, surely the least important thing is to worry about social rules on what you can and can't do. Just relax, do what you want (and if that involves looking up something fun to try why not?), be open with each other, and enjoy yourself.

That wouldnt be the best seductive line ever. but dont say anything unless you feel it is right with the girl. It will make you look better when you put them to practice, too!

I've watched a lot of instructional videos that basically gives you hints of what might work with foreplay, what not to do and so on.
    You're absolutely adorable.

DO NOT MENTION IT, just let her believe you're naturally gifted.

I would probably be a bit worried that he would be going through motions that he is visualising in his head rather than doing what he wants to do or what feels right!

Imo, go with the flow. The nervous caressing and learning from each other as you go is all part of the fun!

    i wouldnt tell her.

ignore girls saying act natural though, if you act natural, aka as in nature, you will just do your job and go find something to eat/sleep
