    If you're desperate about going private then Highclare.

    Grammar schools are much better, and far cheaper, though. You really need to expand though; what do you look for? Mixed? High in league tables?

    Any part of Birmingham really, as long as the school is good!
    Would be secondary and sixth form - recommendations for both really would be great, as i know some places can be good for seniors but not always at 6th form.
    Grammar, private and state schools please.
    Thanks

    Sorry, forgot to say, don't mind whether mixed or single sex.

    Grammar Schools -
    Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls http://www.suttcold.bham.sch.uk
    Bishop Veseys (Boys Senior/Mixed 6th) http://www.bvgs.co.uk
    King Edward VI Schools - some grammar, some private, some mixed, some single sex http://www.kingedwardthesixth.org http://www.kes.bham.sch.uk

    I would definately recommend a grammar school over private, you get in some cases a much better education and they are free I know of a lot of people who go from private in senior to grammar in 6th. Also, many change grammar schools when they move into 6th form.

    If you're academically minded then grammar schools might be the way to go - theres lots of them in the city. Seen you're female, so grammar school options could be King Edwards (KE) Handsworth (all girls), KE Camp Hill girls (all girls), KE Five Ways (mixed), Sutton Girls (all girls). There are probably more that Im not aware of though. I went to KE Handsworth and its a good school (always high on the league tables and a nice atmosphere), and theyve got better at music and sports in recent years, they bought a nearby disused church which they use as as their new music facilities, and theres a gym and a swanky sports hall with dance studio.

    I believe so, yes. But that may be because I'm biased against the whole idea of private education :p:

    There's a few decent private schools;

    http://www.highclareschool.co.uk/

    But seeing as they're ridiculously expensive, and you can get just as good quality of education at state/grammar schools, then I'd recommend either of these.
