Okay so, I used to work in a smoothie shop. And I can remember all the recipes off by heart, and I know all the tips and tricks so you don't make a horrible smoothie. I shall post all the recipes soon, once I've remembered them all.

Thought this would be appropriate if you want something as an alternative to squash, and if you're trying to be more healthy, or if you just want to try one

(If you're worried about the price of the fruit, there's loads of offers on in the supermarkets, especially Sainsburys (I work there).

    TIPS AND TRICKS.
First of all, all the fruit needs to be chopped up into chunks so its easier to blend.
All fruit needs to be frozen, as it creates a much nicer texture and the taste is a lot more refreshing.
Try using as much fresh fruit as possible, although I know that supermarkets can do bags of frozen fruit, which is fine.
If you can’t make fresh juices like apple juice or orange juice yourself, then the cartons of fresh juice you can get are fine. Also you can get really cheap tubs of the sorbets an ice cream.
    SMOOTHIES.
    Triple Berry (Very popular)
    250ml Orange Juice
    One scoop of raspberry sorbet
    Small handful of strawberries
    Small handful of raspberries

    Blueberry

    250ml Apple Juice
One scoop of frozen yoghurt ice cream.
    Small handful of banana
    Small handful of blueberries

Apple Berry Burner (Also a popular one)

    250ml of Apple juice
Half a scoop of raspberry sorbet
Half a scoop of frozen yoghurt ice cream.
    Small handful of strawberries
    Small handful of peaches

Energiser (If you want something really sour, use more raspberries than bananas)

    250ml of orange juice
    Scoop of raspberry sorbet
    Handful of bananas
    Handful of raspberries

Orange and Mango (My personal favourite, use orange juice with bits in )
    250ml of Orange Juice
Scoop of frozen yoghurt ice cream
    Handful of Bananas
    Handful of Mango

(These are some that I can remember for now... more to come later )

I love smoothies, and those are some great recipes! The only reason i stopped making smoothies was because washing up the mixer was a pain! :p:

Do you have any smoothie recipes which don't have frozen sorbet/yoghurt/ice cream in? My freezer is tiny and full

Well, generally they all have them in, as that is what helps bind all the ingredients together. However, my favourite ever smoothie, after the orange and mango, is seriously apple juice, and lots of frozen strawberries..... it is the nicest stuff EVER. I could drink it for ages. Try that its really sweet but so amazing.

However much protein powder you want
    Scoop of yoghurt

    Smoothies :coma:

I usually stick whatever fruit we have in the house. Frozen mango sweetens anything that's a little sharp.
